Agion™ microbial coating has been incorporated into the filter to prevent the surface growth of mold, fungus, algae and bacteria. This protection lasts the life of the filter. Remove the new filter when cleaning the rest of the unit. The primary function of the filter is to absorb water and release it as moisture into the air. As the filter does this, impurities such as rust and minerals are trapped making the filter less efficient. At least once a season or more often, change the filter depending on your water quality-hardness.
