The digital answering machine holds up to 19 minutes of conversation (including
both incoming messages and outgoing announcements) and is acceptable in quality,
though a little scratchy. The two-digit counter displays the number of messages
it has stored; you can then listen to the messages over either the speaker or
the handset. If you are at home when a call comes in, you can screen the call
through the speaker before answering. The speaker can also be used to announce
caller ID information. Unfortunately, if you don't use this announcing feature,
caller ID information is not accessible, because the unit is not equipped with
an LCD. Other features include remote access with voice prompts, 12 speed dial
locations, toll saver, a 13-number memory, and a time/day stamp.
